WHAT!! No Ford!! C'mon Ray, Ford makes fuel efficent models also, look at that hybrid escape, nice efficent suv. Seriously, your wife should be able to pass on a fuel surcharge to the orders she delivers/pickups. And since both of you use your vehicles for business, dont you get the fleet price on fuel? (depends on where you purchase it) My neighbor is a salesman on the road every day, and had to raise his prices a small percentage to cover his travel cost. Its ironic, I went to order a part for my S/D this morning, and the price went up $5.00 since I checked friday, I called the store and the reason being the cost to produce the part has risen, shipping cost to the store, and then the shipping cost to me have all gone up because of the fuel increase.
I guess we are all in the same boat, but as small business, sometimes you have to raise the rates to stay in business.

Yup, I just spend $45 yesterday filling the old girl(only 16 gals). Doing that every third day is really going to put a hurt'n on me. For as much as I have despised getting a little sheet-box, it might come to that. Won't be able to afford to drive to work to GET a paycheck!!

On E. 3rd st. in Dayton a place called Big Al's was $2.55. It's cash only, so I stop at the ATM before I go. I don't think it's any different than anybody else's gas they just don't have to deal with the credit card charges and hassles.

Giant Eagle has a really good gas incentive program at stores with pumps. You buy your groceries like normal and then at the end of the month you earn a discount on gas for one fill-up. Many times the gas has cost me less than a buck a gallon. I fill up both my truck tanks and bring three five gallon gas cans to fill up too. They do limit you though, last time I could only pump 30 gallons @ 79 cents per gallon. The time before I pumped 40 gallons. It gets me through a couple of weeks in my gas hog.

Also, Sam's Club is usually 10 to 15 cents cheaper for its members on gas.

thank George W for it and also the japs and chineese for more demand, blame the global economy for that. why should we have to pay more if their demand is higher?? they should have to pay not us.

...from what I hear we should be thankful we don't live in Atlanta -over $6/gal!!

I'm just glad I have a little "sheet-box" that gets almost 40 mpg and drive the truck only occasionally...
