The first time I ever tasted Scotch, was in Sydney Australia, when I was there on R&R from Vietnam for a week. Being the cool US GI that I was ..heh heh .. I just had to order a Scotch on the Rocks at the first bar I went in to.



Ever since that night, every time someone orders Scotch , I wonder if they are possessed, have no taste buds left or what?? LOL ... no offense intended, but man.... that stuff... ya may as well be drinkin rubbing alcohol with some bitter flavoring in it...or something!!

Anyway .. glad to hear you got your stuff back...smoke flavored and all.

 

darn dick.
that stuff was my first drink and my last ever hang over. did the whole bottle of royal sulute between 2 of us while on leave. this bottle was so old the cork completly broke up trying to get it out . that drink was scotch straight up plus cork.
all i remember is the white lady thats bolted to the floor. and my jeans not having any knees left in them. every thing else is a blank

I tried Scotch once and did not care for it. My favorite is Jagermeister, J.D., Seagrams 7Crown. WAit a second this list is going to get to long, lets just leave it at those mentioned.

 

more then one time.yes it's true. i also had very long hair like to my belt.but i've been sober now for over 30 years

Scotch, like 89 octane pump gas, is an aquired taste.
