IDEAS for next year....
You know - in all the discussion, we talked about more contests, and what to do so the kids have more fun and excitement, but WHAT ABOUT THE LADIES?
I think a "BEST FTE BABE" contest is called for...
The ladies in many of our lives make the show, you know it? And I really think some recognition is due there...
My thoughts.

For this year "POST SHOW" I nominate Peggy Payne, and secondary but not least - BARGODS Lady! Both of these women were incredible.
Can we have a vote on that?

I think Rollie would be the first to sign up for a slalom event...
Events dealing with truck handling ability would go over well too. My first thought was trailer backing, but it would have to be a designated trailer so that it would be to a standard.
The RTI categories are a good point, I know the WB was factored into the results, but am not sure if there is any advantage in it even so.

Thoughts on a slalom - going through a slalom FORWARDS would tend to make it high speed and high risk.
BACKING through a marked course is another thing entirely, and just might be doable with suitable precautions. The points awarded would probably be based on time, cones touched or knocked down, and possibly style - who knows.
If I let my imagination run with it, it's not a big stretch to think of a car climbing contest (I bet Tony wants a shot at that one), and hammered car drags (Best time dragging the engine blow car a specified distance - SIDEWAYS).
We really should make the most of the engine blow car that we can...
Come to think of it, I'd like to see two trucks hooked on to the car at opposite ends ripping it to pieces. But it would make a big mess to clean up afterwards.

For next year.. hmm..
I'd like there to be the parking lot 1/4 - 1/2 full at least. So we have to think what is it going to take to bring people in? The RTI ramp is good, but it doesn't last long does it? I like the burnout contest, so that's a must lol. Bring out the Hooter's girls again.. maybe more this time? To make things even I guess we could bring out the Chippendales for the girls lol. Ok.. scratch the last, but what about getting some magazines involved? Or.. what else could we do?

We DID beat the crud out of it with sledge hammers...
I think I spent six or eight bucks on that myself, at four slams to a dollar!
-It was my 'favorite car', a Pontiac Grand Prix. I have wanted to destroy one for years...
(I wonder if there are any pictures of me swatting it?)
