QUESTION: Are TENNESSEE Ford Trucks as GOOD as Kansas Trucks?
How can we PROVE that?
NOTE: As opposed to a 4 month "plan-do-act" deal on the next RALLY, the planning for the next "FTE National Rally" is IN WORK RIGHT NOW.
I should know - I volunteered for the Safety Committee.

PS: Don't let the other chapters SMOKE ya! I know Y'all better'n that...

It was looking like the last weekend in june.
The considerations are schools being out, other events at the same time that would draw folk away, and things like that.
I put up the notion that folk visiting across state lines might detour to get to the meet at the same time. (double your vacation fun!) just ahead of fourth of July.
They only so much vacation time, and running it from a friday to begin with was a bad idea, most folk that have motor homes even are still settling down. Saturday and sunday are the prime days, and early arrivals maybe some things can go on, though i will say that meeting Ken and everybody was a BLAST! I would not have missed that time for anything.
Ken is a character, and then some....
For next year - MOTOR HOME is the ideal way. There are spots onsite! The vendors swore up and down the rates were going to be reasonable, but some hook-ups were just not there.
Peggy is out of town right now, so the details arenot coming from that wy.
We are looking at "Committees" to line things up, and the points of contact will be coming out soon.
As i said - I'm the secondary SAFETY manager.
PS: My ritting iz slipping since the tireder i git the more fonetic i am.
(LoooooNG weekend)
DON'T BUG KEN ABOUT IT!
(It ain't his department)
More newz as it comes...

We as a Chapter are currently considering having a state rally you would be able to attend.
We have alot of ideas that would benefit all as a group just researching the options now & the possible participation.

That is why I'm looking at or near the Nashville area. Metropolitan area's are good for exposure & participation.
I'm going to check into the State fairgrounds tomarrow.

Good on Ya!!!
That would be ideal...
Chances are the fairgrounds would be holding something at the same time, so we could add to it.
Keep in mind the upcoming RALLY dates.
Can we get a fairground schedule?
Timing is real important - it must be during vacation time (kids out of school), but not close to other major events unless we want to take advantage of or include them...
My experience with the National Rally is that we MUST have looked like wild people to the bystanders - but we stayed within the rules, and there were NO injuries at the meet. -Despite the fact that much of the parking area was striped with rubber streaks from all kinds of trucks, and one notorious 2005 Mustang!!!
I swear - there was at least an inch deep pile of rubber dust where the burn-outs were held...
Show me a bible, and I will swear on it!
The fire department was called because of the smoke from the burnout contest.... And the Fire Marshall was looking at Dennis (Mil1on) as if it was all his fault!
(He came by airline from Northern Canada!)

A meet near the Nashville area would be good. Its a easy drive from Memphis. We should check the state parks for a meeting place. I've made several truck meets in the parks around the Nashville area.Great scenery & the parks are cheap to rent a pavilion for our meet. I got the last one for 50 bucks & it seated lots of people. It was at Persey Priest lake.

We used to setup meets in middle TN for another site.
The Nashville Motor Speedway has a fence and is locked up when there are no events, and full during them.
Nashville Fairgrounds is a nice place, large open parkinglots and events almost every weekend.
There is a place in Murfreesboro for off roading, I took a look, it's nice, I need to check it out during the weekend when there are people there.
Cedars of Lebanon state park is a great place, it's a large park, has covered spots to rent with tables and grills. We setup a cleanup there once to haul trash out, they greatly apreciated it, would love to do it again.
Had one at the lake, there are a few places that are on the lake for picknicking and events.
Lariet97 was at them.
