Just used rustoleum bare metal primer, then painted over that with Semi-gloss engine paint. Actualy putting in the 3.27 gears and TracLock next weekend that's going to make a huge improvement over headers.

Yay, I"m done. Well 3.27's are in (finished friday night). This is A WHOLE lot better than 2.47's. Gearing is just right. On the Hwy at 65 i'm cruising at 2k. ARound town driving is painless now, especially starting out. Used to have to run in 2nd gear until i was up to around 35-40 before I could shift into 3rd but wouldn't have any power. LS is nice too. Got up a steep part of my yard and when that first got o the grass started to slip the other side grabbed and i kept moving :-)

Sounds great! I experienced the same thing with my truck, it was a whole new truck! Even gained a little mileage too. Of course at 65 I'm cruising 2500 rpm I've got a LS in my garage I wanted to install, but I can't set gears to save my life. Ended up buying the whole rear end. LS is going on EvilBay, try and make back alittle of my money pit
