Thumbs up 1965 Econoline Truck needs HELP!!!

Hello everyony, I just recently destroyed my steering box in my '65 Econoline truck. It can't be rebuilt by my local garage so its up to me to find a replacement. I need the whole steering box in good working order. If anyone can help me out that would be awesome. I also live in Canada and its hard to find parts for this truck around here, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey John, welcome aboard.

I can't personally help you out with the Econo steering box, but might I suggest an outfit called Sacramento Vintage Truck(or Ford, can't remember), they carry truck and Econo stuff.

thaks for the replys, I'll check the Sacramento place and see, as for the steering box I have no idea if one of a normal Ford truck(?) would work, I'm mechanically challenged! It would be nice and easy for me if an easy swap was possible.

The steering boxes only are from the Econoline vans and trucks. The one off a half ton will not fit.
I seen some magazine where some supplier made a power steering one, but that was long a go.
I have 3 econo trucks and 2 vans here. Two trucks are going to be projects and the rest are donors.
I'm out here in Sask. Near Saskatoon. I maybe able to help[ with a box. It is still on a truck that is to be tore down. But I need to move it to it final resting place before I take it off.
Another things is a site that you can advertise for free is (The 60's and 70's ford and mercury board) Type fordmercury and you will probally find this site or fordmuscle@webtv.net This may help if someone closer to you in Ont.
Let me know what you decide.
