Hello all, just traded my 94 F150 4x2 for an 05 F150 Supercab 6-1/2' box 4x2. I'm gonna haul my Harley Davidson Electraglide Ultra and those side bed anchors will be a nice secondary anchor point but no way there the primary for this 800 pound monster. Ford's all amp'd up about those bed bolts and how they attach to the frame. There has to be some type of tie-down anchor that bolts down to the bed floor using these bed bolts. Any Help?

Thanks, you wouldn't believe the googling I've done and the sites I've been to. Found some nice D-Ring anchors that require drilling two holes in the bed but nothing that would make use of the existing bed bolt. Kinda hard to believe no one has thought of using the existing bed bolts instead of drilling holes in there new baby. I'll find something or have a welding shop make something then post a picture.

 

I have used bully pop up bed rail anchors for my last two trucks. I normally hauled 2 dirt bikes and would have no problems. I also have hauled my quad (600#)and snowmobile(650#) with no problems. The quad is taken off road and while I take it easy there is still alot of stress on the tie downs. With the snowmobile, I have hit some pretty big frost heaves up north with no ill effects. The tie downs are rated for 1000# each for a total of 2000# of holding, on a 800# bike. I wouldnt worry about it.

 

Here is what the local welding shop built me for $44.00. Someone on another message board suggested seatbelt anchors. The end of the seatbelt that bolts to the floor. There usually bent so would stick up off the bed floor. Even though I already have the below super anchors for the front bed bolts I'm going to look at the seatbelt anchor idea for the rear bed bolts.

 

That is sweet... I like that setup. I personally don't haul my bike that much (usually ride where ever it is going), but in case it needs to get up there in a pinch, that looks like it would work out well. What exactly are those two front anchors, did the welder fabricate those, or can you buy them? Maybe you and your welder need to get together and market this thing. I know I would be willing to buy it.

 

I normally ride as well but I'm going to Wisconsin from Wyoming and were going to be riding all over out there for 10 days or so. When I go home (Wisconsin) I like to get there and have more time to ride out there. I rode out there and back a few years a go and the return trip from Lincoln to Cheyenne is absolute torture on a bike.

1/4 inch steel plate with weld on trailer D-Rings. You can get all sorts of weld on D-Rings from welding shops that build custom trailers.

Yes, these tiedown anchors are for real. I could probably jump the truck and the bike wouldn't budge.
