Since i bought the 69, have only driven it one day, my buddy is using it as his daily driver while his is down for a replacement engine, guess it gives me time to decide between on doing a restoration, or a resto-mod. , either way i go im gonna have to find a home for that topper..just doesnt look right on there to me LOL. The thing is geared like an army tank, tops out at about 70, over that and it starts winding a little too tight, Im thinking that i will keep the appearance as stock as possible but add a couple of improvements (headers, duals...etc).

Well at least it's getting some exercise!

How do you plan to use it in the future? That might help you decide on resto-mod or not.

...and the best thing about the topper is that it helped preserve the bed for when you came along!

It will be used mainly as a causal driver/occasional hauling the jeeps/camping gear hauler, trips to the shooting range....etc..it wont be a daily driver, I agree the topper has kept the bed nice and clean inside. maybe i just gotta get used to it..just seems to not "fit" the lines of the truck
