Need some ideas here :)

So i've decided that i'm going to paint the gauge cluster in my flareside for a bit better looking cluster. Anyway i've got an extra cluster to paint so if it don't work out i can just keep the old on in the truck, plus it'll save me some time.

Now i'm either thinking white background and black numbers or just paint the number red, or go with a silver background and red number then use a blue bulb.

Here's a picture of the cluster and interior to help give you an idea:

So any ideas??

All in good fun!

Make the top row of idiot lights turn on sequentially when you start the truck

and cover the big black plastic guage surround piece with maroon carpet from Canadian Tire for 20$ so you can velcro your cb microphone or cellphone right to the dash (and cover the radio/heat controls for a matching effect)

and paint your pedal arms black(maybe add flames on them)

maybe wrap the steering column in suade.......

I think you will wreck it painting it, unless you are REAL handy at calligraphy
..try the white gauge guy on ebay if you want to go the ricer way
otherwise I agree with Dennis

Why yes it does stick to **** , at least in "theory".

Those white face guages on ebay is essentially the same thing i'll be doing. But today (i'm back at the farm till tomorrow) i tried it out on the extra cluster i have and it didn't turn out to bad. I will try to get some pictures up of what it looks like, if turns out not so good i won't even bother.

first you will have to pretend to be a rastafarian and smoke a big fat one mon, and then a few hours with model paint, or just get a sign shop to make you some vinel (sp?) decals to apply over the stock faces. Like you say right now its a spare cluster.

Model paint. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . that brings back memories . I might look into the vinal decals to, but that would be a while till that happens.
