Well, I am currently planning on going, may be kinda working it, don't know, haven't heard back. The Kansas leader asked for volunteers, but hasn't got back to us. Trouble there is that I am out of the way for most. Those from Fort Madison and Burlington and Quad Cities could benefit, otherwise, it's out of the way to come here. I only have a standard cab though, so not much room... I had been waiting to learn more before I started talking too much...

Well I understand waiting to learn more but I figure the more lead time anyone has the better the chance they can make it, and since not everyone looks in other chapters or in different parts of the forum figured I would start getting it discussed in our little corner of the world.
For those that havent done any looking around here is the thread discussing this in more detail

Point taken, I was hoping they ould let us know soon, but maybe it wasn't such a good plan... It does need to be kicked around a bit anyway...

Hm, I might be able to bumble to it with you Rob, have to see closer to time. I thought about making a thread about it in the Offroad forum...but I figured most of those guys are way out of the way. Are any of them going to make it you know? If Ivan and Pro hijack a tanker truck they MIGHT get Cap'n and Beast out here.

I'll just have to wait till i'm closer. Finances dictate EVERYTHING.

If I do end up going Roger, I could head down Highway 2 or 202 and whatever that big city is Kirksville I think I could meet you there or something, and then drive back up and maybe hitch up with Rob. I'd assume you're taking the Superduty, right Rob?

I just can't give a definitive yes to it yet. I've got lift and tires to pay for =)

of coarse I am taking the superduty. and Ivan and Pro are flying out there was some talk about rental cars, insurance, and mud bogging though so not sure about that, oh and hitting up some pet stores in KC, and I am sure one of them was asking about were to get some of those exploding frogs--so does anyone know where to get some of them?

Oh on another note yeah finances dictate a lot so who is gonna volunteer to bail the three of us out of a Kansas jail

There would be no nbeedd to go as far as Kirksville, because the best route from here would be to run 136 across to 35 and run south from there. So if you to catch up with me, it would be better to meet at Lancaster. Maybe i should take my trailer too to bring back the impounded trucks?

You suckas better be there or we WILL unleash the gerbil horde upon you!

It would have cost me in the neighborhood of $1200-$1500 for fuel to drive the Cap'n, not to mention the tires and the time involved. Tickets are around $300 round trip. I think I'm flying to Portland first so Pro and I can get the festivities underway early and then fly down together.

Saurian, if you don't show you're getting a kick in the nuts. I don't even need finances to dictate that.

well the trailer might be a really good idea<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm824BCUS' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_7_6.gif' alt='Blurry Drunk' border=0></a>and a couple of extra log chains to pull the rental cars out of the fountain at the hotel, or the mud hole out back probably wouldn't hurt either<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm824BCUS' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_5_11.gif' alt='Road Rage' border=0></a>

plenty of chains I got.... but I can only haul 2 at most, the front one better not have wide tires on it... the deck width is only 6'6"
sounds like I better get the removeable wrecker setup built before then...

What'll fuel costs be, Rob? I'll be sure to set that aside...all else fails I'll bring a sleeping bag and stay in the back of the superduty lol.

If those two are going to fly out, there's NO WAY in hell I'd drive my truck. Ivan would convince me to let him show me how to 4-wheel....then make me get out to strap up my own truck afterwards when he breaks my D44 and you have to pull me out.

Wonder how much accomodations are going to cost at the hotel. And free food is nice too. =) The look on the admin's faces when they meet their worst enemies face to face will be great =).

it isn't Ivan I would worry about showing you how to 4 wheel your truck I would worry more about Pro cause he will also want to show you how weak a D44 actually is
as far as fuel it's about a 350 mile round trip for me so about 15-20 gal of fuel, you can figure what your fuel would be based on that though.

I'm thinking about going. KC would be an easy trip for me. I would like to see a little more detail on what's actually going to take place. Anyone know what is planned?
