Hey guys, we are planning a large g2g for May 14th in Wichita and would like for you all to attend. This will be a going away party for one of our members that is in the Air Force and is bieng re-assigned AND a welcome back party for one of our members that has been gone for awile. We understand this is kinda short notice but we have wanted to have you guys up in our area for a multi-state g2g for quite some time and this presented itself as a great opprotunity!!! If it would make it easier on any of you to have it a little closer to the border we could work that out. Lemme know what yall think!!!!

wish i could, but ill be doing good to make it to the national meet....maybe after i rebuild the engine in my F-150 ill be able to make more road trips with her, when i drove her to Tulsa for our meet in Feb. it cost 70+ bucks in gas round trip, so im looking at well over a hundred to get to Kansas and back to Okc.....ill most likely be taking my nissan to the nationals and just bring pictures with me......good luck with your gtg, hope it goes well.......

 

Hey everyone, just wanted to add to what fordnut has said. You are all welcome to join us at the G2G this coming Saturday evening. We have been talking about getting together with the Oklahoma gang and thought this might be a decent one to invite you all to. As stated it is a little more special this month with on member being shipped overseas and another one returning after an extended absence.

If any are interested it is Saturday evening May 14th at 7pm. The place is Sonic at 47th and Seneca. That is the south end of Wichita and easy to get to.

 

wow, I really wish I could make it!!!! my sis lives up there, but unfortunately I work saturdays and sundays. I just got off vacation and the man wouldn't possibly let me take a 4day so soon. I WILL be at the nationals however.

possibly another time, as I will be visiting your little part of our country more frequently now.

Wish I could go Rollie and Duane, but I too have to work sat/sundays. Sorry. Any other day would be cool since I am off through the week until the first of June (after that I'll be off wed-friday).

On a side note, what Service/division is your member? Do they know where they're going?

Well we understand, at todays gas prices a guy almost has to take out a loan to drive across town lol. Would it be any eiasier if you all set the date then we can find a place somewhere in the middle to meet???

Well, the gas price really isn't an issue with me (though maybe just me)... 'ol blue gets around 27 mpg when it gets hot like this.

Meet in the middle, yeah, it would probably result in more people being able to make it. Maybe Coffeyville or something??? I don't know, just a suggestion. My big thing is the day we will do this, until the first of June I can do anytime monday-friday, but after the first week of june, I can only do wed-friday. I know it's a crazy schedule and difficult to plan around, but hey, try living it.

How about one of them truckstops down on 35. I know there is a Dairy Queen one and another I think it is a Loves. You all talk it over and see where would be a good place from the Wichita area to where the biggest group of members in OK are. Let us know Duane and I would sure like to get the 2 groups together sometime.

 

I'm to the point of wanting to quit my job so I can pay more attention to my hobbies, but we all know where that'll get me!! meeting in the middle is good for me, just let me know atleast a month in advance, so I can schedule it off.

I will be lucky enough to get the national meet weekend off, IF I get it!!!

OK, how about this, we have our Kansas City g2g the first sat of every month and our Wichita g2g on the second sat of the month. You guys decide when, to do it, if it's on the 2nd sat that's great, if not, that's fine too, what ever works for you guys.
