Question ROUGH ideling 2.0DOHC

My car has been ideling really rough and I have heard that this is a problem with th escort 2.0DOHC zx2. I have 82k on it and pulled the plugs ans the looks a little worn but I have seen worse. Should replaceing the plugs with new motor craft platinum-factory replacement plugs cure it?It has motor crafts in it now. I have A new wix fuel filter, spark plug wires, new wix paper air filter, timing belt. Dad said the plugs might help. But he said get o2 senors because 82k miles they are about in need of replacement.
Do I get plugs?
o2 senser?
What else could it be?No check engine light. The tach stays consistantly about 700rpm in OD.
Dustin

My girlfriend has the same car with the same problem. hers has 42000 mi. as you said the plugs were worn but not too bad, i replaced them anyway, and it did make a huge diffrence with the rough idle. i put in motorcraft double platnum plugs. they are a little expencive, but a lot better than o2 sensors.

Dustin With 82k on the clock dont forget the timing belt it's time to change it if you haven't done so. A word of advice when you change the belt replace the idler pulley and the bolt that holds it on. I have had several customers towed in after this bolt has broke some with very exspensive results.
