DIVE-6015-A2B What is this block?
I have a chance to purchase a rebuilt short block with this casting number on it. (d1ve-6015-a2b)I know that the d1 means it was first designed and cast in '71. I also know the rest of the casting number tell's the "REST OF THE STORY" as Paul Harvy would say.
It has some .040 over pistons with dished tops. I don't know what cam it has, but if I buy it and its not what I want I'm buying it with the plan of changing the cam. If I buy it I will rebuild my c9ve heads and put on it. Any idea if this would make a good combo or not?
