Dash Pad Removal 97 F350

Hey all,
I have a 97 F350 OBS and I would like to replace the dash pad above the glove box that also goes over the radio (mine's cracked). Anyone know how this comes off? Also anyone know if you can get this from Ford or a parts dealer? Most of the ones in the junkyard are also cracked.

Thanks,
Jay

can't help with locating one, but I can tell you how to remove it, I just did this in my '94 F-150

1)you will have to remove the radio and drop the glove box

2) Ford put studs in the pad and held them on with 10mm nuts inside the dash

3) Remove these nuts, there should be about nine of them, with 3 or 4 surrounding the radio.

4) Pad should lift out, if not, check for another nut, all these can be removed using a combination of 10mm wrench and 10mm socket, preferably 1/4" drive. Space is tight but it still only took me 15 minutes to R&R.

Cool thanks, I am putting an aftermaket deck in this weekend so maybe I will do both at the same time if I can find a good pad!

I think that he is talking about the old body style f350 92-97 model. I also had a hard time finding one in a junkyard but I finnaly found on that wasnt cracked and I just remove the 10 (i think) 10mm bolts under the dash

I was referring to the old body style, that is why I posted it to this forum, I figured these guys would know best. My truck is a 97 but I guess the one tons carried over the same body style.
