Dual exhaust 2004 ranger?

My little brother has a 2004 ex-cab ranger with a 3.0 and he wants to put an exhaust on it. Well I got on the flowmaster site and it says to use the hushpower muffler and no other sites show a kit for that year yet. Its kinda high for just the muffler so I thought heck we can just buy a kit like i did for my trucks and I'll put it on for him. Well he wants sound and he would like rear exit but he don't make much so he can't get the magnaflow that was like $400. I have 50 series flowmaster on my f-150 and it sounds great but I know a 3.0 won't sound like mine. I have a 93 ranger 3.0 and I put a dynomax kit on it but to me it just sounds stock. He don't want the rice grinder sound either. Anyone have a clue or what I should do or what else will work that I can bolt on?
Thanks, Medster

Bolt on dual exhaust and you don't want to spend much? Will not happen on money side.

I found a Gibson setup for a 2004 ext cab 3.0L. Gibson Part #9508. Will fit 2wd only.
Split rear exhaust (straight out the back).

Here is a link to a website that I found it on:
http://www.performancecenter.com/pro...5&partnumber=1

Cost? $330

Best bet is to find a local exhaust shop and have them do a custom unit. Will probably be cheaper than the magnaflow dual kit at around 450.

I've seen posts in this forum of people putting a 40 series on their rangers and having the exhaust shop make the rest custom.

Yeah, I might have to do that. I called the shop today and they said if I buy a muffler they will do the rest for pretty cheap. I was thinking about a delta flow 50 series? Does anyone know how they sound on a ranger? I see them on e-bay for about $65 He just wants some sound not so loud you can't hear anything. Just a halfway nice deep tone if you can get that from a 3.0. Thanks for the info. Medster
