Has the ice storm in Geprgia ended?

I heard there was a real nasty bout of weather happening there.

There where a lot of trees down from ice in the Atlanta area. Luckily, I got one of my neighbor's trees down before it freezed outside. It was rotted in the middle about 30 feet up and surely would have split just from the ice expansion. It split taking it down, but, luckily for me I had wrapped it in chains and had rigged three cables around it as a precaution.

Ice storms are good for the firewood business :-)

Dennis we were all thawed out by late Sunday afternoon, not as bad as it could have been but still lots of trees and limbs down. I am having 8 trees removed next week so the next time this happens I don't have to worry 'bout the trees landing on the house.

Wasn't nowhere near as bad, my electricity didn't even flicker this time. Last yr, it was out for 1.5 days.

In Halifax last week, there was so much rain & sea wash that vehicles were coated with about 3" of ice.
They looked like Ice sculptures.

I wish I could find pics.

I am sure Ken didn't like the ice storm much.
He said it was too cold in Detroit in January.
Of course being Canadian to me it was Balmy being there
