hello I'm a new 1972 ford f250 owner and need to check my timing I have a manual that tells to check the veci label to see where the timing marks need to be but I cannot find it where is it
The VECI is on the inside of the hood or on the radiator support and privides tune-up info and a vacuum diagram, if it is missing, set the timing to 8-10 degree BTDC with the vacuum hose removed and plugged and that will put you in the ballpark.
Your truck most likely won't have one. They were on the valve covers until 80 or 81, but only lasted about 10 years, depending on how and how often the engine was washed. Most of those foaming engine cleaners take them right off, and so do pressure washers.

This is true. Mine was on the valve cover and over the years it has worn pretty bad. I did find a replacement sticker from AutoKrafters that I'll be placing under the hood.
