05 F100 Supernationals
Looking for information about the Supernationals at Chilhowee Park. For the trucks in the show - do you leave them in the Park over night? Have been to the Supernations several times at the Grand Hotel and Convention Center but not to the new location at the park. I'm concerned about having to leave the truck overnight and staying at a hotel several miles away.

Thanks Dennis - but I've been to the Supernats web site and it really doesn't give much information. It gives the dates, where it will be held and hotel inforormation but not much else. I'm just curious now that the show has been moved to a public park how they handle leaving the trucks out overnight. Also curious how they handle moving people from the hotels to the park. Bob

FYI anyone who is attending the Supernats! Find a buddy (or not) who belongs to NSRA, they have a great article in Streetscene this month about Knoxville and the surrounding areas with chamber of commerce, tourist sights and anything else you can think of. The Mid-South Street Rod Nationals will be in K'ville May 13-15, it's quite a thing to see if you are in the neighborhood

I believe the dates for the Street Rod Nationals are May 6,7,& 8 but you are correct about the article in Streetscene. My wife and I attended the Supernats last year(and the last 2 years it was in PF) and we are planning on being at this years show as well. I'm just lucky to have a wife who likes old trucks(and cars) as much as I do. This trip is our annual "Anniversary Trip" in this our 33rd year together.

thanks for the post Steve and welcome to FTE. I have never been to the supernats but am planning on taking my 56 there for it's first road trip. Is this thing set up similar to the NSRA events? I have been a street rodder since the 60's (do the math) and NSRA events are organizationally the best I have seen. I even worked for them for about 10 years as a rep. You are most correct about the dates by the way. Why is it I can't remember a date but I can take a bracket out of a box I haven't seen in a year and tell you what it's for? congratulations on being together 33 years. Sounds like you may be in the same boat that I am to quote Jeff Foxworthy........If your wife and your f-100 are the same age! thanks again

There will be Security at the show, there was last year, but a lot of people took there trucks to the motels with them, most of the group from the Super Cruise from California did anyways.
I myself will be driving mine to the house every night
It is nice living 20 miles from the show.
BTW Congrats on 33 years.

Fenders & Siberexpress, The little woman deserves all the praise for indulging me for 33 years. She knew all during the "child rearing" years that I loved old vehicles but I put it on the back burner til the nest emptied. BTW, I had a brand new (1972 ford Gran Torino Sport)car while we were dating and to make sure it was me and not the car, I bought a fine little "40 Ford truck in beatiful gray primer and picked her up at work with it. She loved it! Wish I had kept that little truck but I guess we all have 20/20 hindsight. As to the Supernats last year, I thoroughly enjoyed it but saw some room for improvement but I have no doubt that Pat Ford and company will knock our socks off this year. I miss the parade down through the center of Pigeon Forge from years past but the Chilhowee Park setting is a beatiful sight full of Old Fords and vendors everywhere. I hope by next year to have my '54 (powered by Ford of course) at the show. I look forward to seeing y'all there. Later Steve

Well Steve I will be where ever they put the new trucks at, I am showing my 03 F150 again this year.
Bringing up the 72 Gran Torino Sport sure brought back some memories though, first car was a 72 Ranchero GT. I ended up having the Ranchero and a 72 Gran Torino Sport fastback together for many years though.
Hope to see you up there.
We are having a Barbecue for about 60 people on Friday night, with the people coming from the Super Cruise, 5 bucks for all you can eat and bring your own drinks. Had a good time with it last year.
I would post pics but I am still new here.

the truck f-100 supernats is a must for f-100 people..but take my advice..go late to the awards show or not go at all and get the event video that highlingts who won....that thing is about 4 1/2 hours long or longer and its rather ..silly at times....but this is just my opinion..many out there don't let me stop u
