Question 2.3 timing belt removal

'89 2.3 in a '91 ranger

Trying to replace the timing belt since I have everything torn apart for a new head gasket. Can't seem to get it removed. The bolt holding the balancer/hub won't budge, even tried an impact on it. Can't get the hub off to get the guide off to get the belt off. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Vince Krause

Well this is what I done but don't know if you want to try it. I disabled the coil put a breaker bar on the bolt and bumped the starter and it broke it loose like it was nothing. Make sure the bar is resting on the ground before you bump the engine.
Not held liable for injures.LOL

Thanks, that might be the "when all else fails" plan...
