Does anyone know if a 3/4 4X4 front axle will fit into a 1 ton 2WD (F-350)truck ?? Thanks

 

I am not sure if the axle will fit. But the problem is you have to run the same gears in the front and rear. Your 1 ton axle is more thank likely a different ratio.

It depends on what year the donor vehicle is and what year the recipient vehicle is. Can you be more specific?

not without major modifcations including lotsa custom fab work and lotsa donor parts, cobbling add as needed

 

The 1 ton is a '85, but I believe for a few years prior & a few years post they were the same, no ??

 

Does the 3/4 ton donor have a solid front axle or an IFS? The 3/4 and 1 ton frames of like years are pretty much the same I think including the bolt holes for locating various suspension components. You need to crawl up under both vehicles with a tape measure and start measuring.

3/4 ton front axles is twin traction leaf sprung, 85 f-350 has twin ibeam and should be coil sprung
