can you temporarily patch a fuel line?

The fuel line has a leak. Can I temporarily patch the fuel line for a week?
Any and all responses are appreciated.

I don't know about high pressure FI lines, but it works OK with low pressure fuel lines. The line had rubbed against a clamp and worn through, so I got a chunk of fuel hose, split it lengthwise, and hose-clamped it over the leak. It held.

Or you could cut out the bad section, flare the cut ends, and splice in a replacement line using couplings. If that works for brake line, it ought to be good enough for high-pressure fuel lines too.
