Thumbs up New Alaska Chapter

Hi Mil1ion,
Ken has advised me to put this post in here about the new Alaska Chapter I am trying to get started. Our name has yet to be voted on officially since we haven't had a meeting yet but the name Farthest North Chapter has been brought up. I am the submitting member and have reached my 60 day time period. We also have 8-10 interested members so we meet that requirement also.

We would like to make it official and I understand you are the one we need to go through now that Ken has signed off on it.

If you have any questions, just email me!

That sounds better than " The Gateway to Siberia" Chapter.

Why not simply 'Alaska' chapter ?

Well as I explained to the interested folks up here,
I chose the name Farthest North Chapter because we are a unique group living in a unique land. I felt that a generic "Alaska Chapter" didn't do us justice!

Now if we get too big, we may break up into an Interior Region and Southcentral Region or something in which case Alaska Chapter may well come to be.

But for now, we are the Farthest North Chapter!

So is it:
a) Farthest North ?
or
b) Furthest North ?

Doesn't Santa Claus own the rights to both those Chapter "names"?

Once Tundra Chapter is created that will be the farthest as it's in Canada.

Santa Pays Canada lease money to live there at the North Pole.
That's why he got the 6 digit postal code HoH-0H0
It's Much like Paul Martin's Canada Steamship Lines deal

Santa operates all over the world & doesn't pay taxes.... but he lives in Canada

Well mil1ion, I wouldn't want to be the one that tells the good folks of North Pole Alaska that Santa lives in Canada! You're liable to have a nice riot on your hands! They make a tidy living there off of old Kris Kringle and I don't think they are willing at this point to give that up!

Now as for our Chapter (the Furthest North Chapter)...is we official?

Yeah Kevin, a 3,000 mile meet and greet is a bit much! And considering the price of gas in Canada right now, it is cost prohibitive as well as time consuming to drive all that way.

Not that I would mind seeing you all, but if I did I would have to fly down. Maybe someday...
