Front end Alignment

Does anyone have the front end alignment specs for a F250 SD 2005 4WD? My truck is really wearing the tires on both the inside and outside but the tire store I prefer to use doesn't have the specs. The truck is ok using 04' specs.

If it is wearing on both the inside and outside of the tire I would check my tire pressure to make sure it is high enough. A underinflated tire will wear like that. Sorry I don't have the specs for you but I thought maybe you could check that before you spent money on an alignment.

Agree with bdjupiter, alignment will wear 1 side or another.Tires should be rotated every 5-6,000,if they were run low then sooner.

Don't take this wrong; From experience most mono-beam trucks have 1/4" too much toe-in from factory, center steering on a mono-beam has nothing to do with alignment( has seperate adjustment sleeve) and coils or leafs have no effect on mono-beam.

I would rather not take anything to our local Ford dealer unless absolutely necessary. I purchased the truck with 1400 miles on it for about 22% off retail and didn't have to pay all the extra dealer prep and processing (extra dealer profit) fees. The truck has 2000 miles on it and shouldn't be showing this kind of tire wear.

In the recent past, Ford warranty covers one alignment up to 12,000 miles. I would think that rings true with '05.

Check OASIS and see if a warranty alignment has already been done. Dealer should be happy to provide this info.

Just got my '05 F-350 back from the dealer. I had a drift to the left and the proper alignment required new adjusters on the left side to get the caster/ camber/ toe correct. Without the new adjusters they couldn't get the alignment in spec. FYI the Ford Specified Ranges are: Camber -.08 to 1.3 Caster 1.5 to 5.5 Toe -0.11 to 0.14.
According to the data sheet left in the truck the Left Front Toe was -0.43, Right Front toe was -0.45 and the total toe was -0.88.(out of specs) After the alignment total Toe was -0.01. Truck rides straight as an arrow.
BTW dealer was Joe Rizza Ford in Orland Park, IL. They did a nice job. Truck has 3000 miles, and this was a warranty repair.
