Question Canadian Tire oil...where do they get it from??

I was just wondering about where Canadian tire gets there oil from(motormaster oil i think it is), because I would not think they make it themselves . I saw some for diesel trucks for a really good price and it say's it approved for use in the PSD engines?
is it any good??

Thanks

Joey

If its approved oil it should work. But you get what you pay for.And as to where they get stuff.Just for an example my uncle worked at a battery factory in Calgary. It was funny because at the end of the assembly line they would put on different tags for who ever they were making the batteries that day.All the same batteries just different company names on them.

I read a thread on this site some time ago that all C/Tire brand oil, lubes, fluids and gas is made by who ever gives them the best bulk price at the time. They go out to tender every 6 months or so. Then they just order 1 million barrels (or whatever) to meet the C/Tire spec.
Same with Walmart, Superstore and all the other 'house' brands.

Actually the Canadian Tire oil was allways made by Imperial Oil (Esso). Unless they changed in the last 5 years. I have a long background with Canadian Tire as a store manager but I left there about 5 years ago to pusue other opportunities. While there I looked into who was the oil manufacturer. Infact some of the bottles said "Imperial Oil" in very small print on the back.

Hey, I speak Cantonese. Wei?
Won't my parents be proud. six years of Chinese school and I remembered one word.

To stray off topic a little, I know Kleen Flo (remanufactured oil, from used), sometimes gets the Wally World contract.

Actually, growing up in Toronto in the '70's, most of my school friends swore I knew Bruce Lee personally.

I hate it, since we look the same; when people mistake my picture for my grandmother.
