Talking Acetylene!! Propane alternative?!?

I was thinkin one day and wondered why an engine wouldnt run on acetylene for a short while. I was thinking about holding a torch up to the intake on a briggs and see how long it would run. A guy told me he already tried it and it blew out every gasket and crevice in the engine.

If I hooked it up to the intake on my NA 7.3 and turned the pressure down real low it would mix with the air enough to be beneficial, maybe.

This would all be just for the hell of it since propane is cheaper and alot safer to use and it is proven to work well on diesels.

Yeah it would be a very dangerous situation, acetylene gets very unstable at pressures about 10-15psi when a gas, just imagine 180 psi of compression!
