Question CEL code P0340

HI,check engine light came on,so off to autozone for a free 0BDII test.It read P0340 camshaft position sensor,so i replaced it and reset the light. After a few miles or so on again. So i thought maybe a bad part(SENSOR)and went for a replacement.A few miles later light again(Check Engine). My question is what next?Does the auxiliary shaft need to be replaced due to some unseen defect.I just dont know about all these sensors but im willing to learn, need to learn and will before it's over.Help Please, any info will be welcomed and thanks in advance.

Welcome to FTE!
I'm no expert either, but the guys on the Ranger & B-Series board really know their stuff.
Ken00 has pinpoint tests for nearly everything. Give them a try.
