Question 4.0 Ohv Performance Parts

I'm in the process of rebuilding my 4.0 ohv and was wondering where I could get performance parts... heads, pistons, rods you name it. I have an Eaton M62 and I'm lookin to beef up the whole motor with non stock parts.

There's really not much out there for the 4.0L OHV. Here's some heads you might want to consider:

Can't get them from him anymore this is an email he sent me...

Sorry to say this, but due to personal and some medical reasons that I won't be going into, I'm closing down Stage-3 Heads. I had hoped that this would have been a long term venture, but circumstances have dictated otherwise. If you're still planning to get ported heads in the future, there are still some possibilities like Tom Yentzel at www.supersixmotorsports.com , Morana Racing and hopefully RacinRanger on RPS will be offering some soon. I'm still going to stay involved in modifications to Rangers, but not to the extent that I used to.

Looking forward to seeing more powerful Rangers in the future..........

Walt (Bird)

Allthough I contacted supersix and this is what they said..

Yes we can. We've ported several sets of 4.0 OHV and OHC heads. However, since the majority of our business is 3.8 and 4.2 engines, we don't keep cylinder head cores in stock for the 4.0 OHV engine, so you'd need to provide the cores and send them in for porting. They are $800 including full porting, 3-angle valve job, CompCams springs, new valve seals, surfaced and assembled ready for installation. Let us know if we can help you.

Tom Yentzer

I'm still weighing all my options if any one knows of any where else to get ported and polished heads let me know.
Thanks

if you are not going to get forged it doesn't pay to change them the factory one are stronger than you think. as for any rod that you get they will have to be custom made.

Just curious but how much do you think forged would cost?

why go low compression then you lose power and if boosting you just need more to get back what you lost.
