bleeding clutch master & slave cylinder on an '85 F150
I just blew out my clutch master cylinder in my beater last nite..
any one have any good suggestions on bleeding them and getting the clutch to work right?
Haynes and Chiltons say "they come as a unit, and are pre-bled". Haha nice joke

(pre-bled. riiight. This one said the same thing. don't believe it. You gotta be under there to put the new parts on, may as well do the entire job)

Well, I bought a new master & slave at napa, put them on, and I bled them out. It actually wasn't too bad at all. took ~15-20minutes to bleed, and so far, all is well..
btw, I couldn't find any place that sold them as a unit, so I had to beat off the roll pins and swap the hose and what not.. both of the new units are metal, unlike the other ones (which looked like they had been replace b4) which were plastic.. the slave had a nice big brake style bleeder on it too.
and to top it off, my master cylinder no longer squeaks.
