400 or 460/ C-6 or 4-speed

I'm getting ready to do a frame up on my 72 GT. The truck will be used to haul my Harley and perhaps pull another car to events.I like performance. Currently it's got a 400/C6 with alot of miles. I get about 10 mpg currently. Should I rebuild the 400 with a performance build or swap to a 460 with aluminum heads, tunnel ram and dual 600s? I've got the 460, the aluminum heads, cam, tunnel ram, carbs, velocity stacks, a toploader and bellhousing. No flywheel, clutch pedal, or linkage. If this was your Ranchero what woud you do? I put about 2000-6000 mile on it a year. Some trips may be up to 3000 miles.

Thanks. I've had this 460 stuff laying around the garage for years and was looking for something to put it in. I thought I'd put the motor in my 32 coupe but I think it'd be better suited to the Ranchero. The aluminum Cobra-Jet heads are a fine sight. Almost a shame to put 'em on a motor.

I'd fix the Harley so I could ride it instead of hauling it everywhere

Oh the Harley runnin' it's just that in the early spring and late fall I don't like running into snow on the way south and back.I got too much polished aluminum on it to get it detroyed by salt. Actually the old hoss runs like hell with the stroker in it. ('bout 135 top end, not bad for a John Deer motor)....man you guys and the Harley jokes :-)
