The trans in my 93 explorer just died today. I am trying to find a good place to have it fix, while at the same time getting the best price. Anyone have a recommendations?

 

The best place i know of around ann arbor is aamco, its on the corner of elsworth and hewitt, they always do great work. I totally reccommend them .

 

I have used a place called Willis and Bunton Amoco gas station located in Willis Mi. and have had great experience's with them. The guy who owns the place and performs most of the transmission work is Dave. He and his brother in law do all of the work there and are drag racers too. They are very knowledgeable and reasonable on the price. You can contact them by calling (734) 461-9444 or they are located at 10004 Willis Rd. Willis Mi. 48191. I can't say personally that these are the best transmission shops in your area, or the best for your transmission repair but the site provides background information on each one!

 

I use a shop on old grand river in Brighton and they are very good and honest. In fact I just got my Excursion back today for the front hubs being replaced. Their number in 810-229-7878. Tom or Rob are good to deal with. Good luck.
