getting engine back monday

well today i went down and paid olson brothers for all my engine rebuild stuff i had done $1007 bucks worth. i am picking the engine up monday afternoon as i had nothing to haul it out with today. i am hoping to get it shoved in next weekend and get my truck back togather. i cant wait to see what difference it is going to make going from a 360 to a 390. i still gotta buy new tranny lines and a couple doodads to finish though. anyone with a cherry picker and or wanting some hands on learning is free to attend this event.

I would but that is a long drive, but good luck on getting everything together, and you will like that 390 over the 360, when I did that along time ago, I thought I had a different truck, it is like night, and day.
BTW got my new engine in the race truck this week, and got it running yesterday, tuned it up, and made a couple of hole shots in the yard ran it about 30-40 min total, about an hour after I shut it off at 7pm the cops showed up, and said they had a complaint about the noise. WAAAAAAA

Got the cherry picker. But as far as it is from the river & back , twice , you'd be better off buying one! (West of DSM about 30 mins.)

I'm 30 west of Keokuk, and it would be possible to meet somewhere over to Keokuk, maybe Ft Madison if we can get hooked up, I have to take a rental back, but it will be this afternoon or in the morning for that. I'm going to be gone again starting Tuesday afternoon at the earlest, could be evening for that. It can be tore down enough to fit in a trunk, so you can save some on fuel that way. As far as how long, however long you need, within reason. I have an overhead hoist available here, so it isn't a dire need. I figure if you don't want to bring it back, the troops here will organize gainst you, so no need for deposit, I can find you.... If you want to keep it, it is for sale, I have 2, this one's a friends that would be interesting in selling it. We can worry about that when you see it, and if you really need to have one, I can get it into a little Escort, no prob. You still have me on your IM list? you're still on mine, so you can get me that way, have DSL, so it's on all the time.

well i got the engine home okay, i had forgot my straps so i had to drive home real slow lol. once i backed the tralier in he garage and was putting the engine on the stand i about lost it. i must have had a cheap bolt holding it to the stand cause the one on the right side broke and let me tell you it was a stuggle to get it not to fall. i finally threw a strap over the beam in the garage and racheted it up so i could replace the bolt. wendesday i will be starting the install , hopefully by friday she is alive
