Best Chip For Propane

I have read that to run propane safely, you need a chip burned for propane. I am running a SCMT now but want to add propane. I hate to give up the tuner but want to be safe. Any suggestions on a good chip(multiple settings)to run with propane?

The SCMT on either 60 or 80 will work fine with propane. At that horsepower level, timing is not advanced excessively to make power.
Higher horsepower or extreme chips and 4 pos chips (100hp and above) increase timing and fuel delivery (hence the high EGT's) as well as other perimieters and it would be advisable for those chips to have the timing advanced removed from the programming if possible.

nuclearmonster-
If you want the best chip to run with propane, get hold of Dale at TYMAR, and get one of his Diesel Power chips. I'm in the process of replacing my Diablo Delta chip with one of his. I had it here yesterday, and after driving my truck with that chip in it, there's no way I could live without it. That thing rocks!!!
There are a lot of chips that can be tuned from propane use, but if you're going to spend the money, you might as well get something you'll really be happy with.

Quad, how'd you like that chip? I called Dale after reading your post. Kind of feeling the mod bug once again. I'm finally going to commit to the powershot and have my DSl PWR chip reprogrammed for it. I was wondering if you could tell me the dimensions and capacity of your propane tank? How far is is stood off the frame?

I've got a 9.9 gallon Manchester tank that is hung from brackets bolted to the frame. The distance between the tank and the frame is about 4".
Dale has a bejillion different programs he can load for you, and I'm still in the process of picking and choosing the ones that work best for me. One I've got in the truck now increases the pulse width of the injectors beyond what my Diablo chip can do, so there's a noticieable increase in power over the hottest Diablo program. Smoke? Oh yeah, baby!!
