2.3/2.5L street head improvement

Just wondering if anyone has come out with a improved (port'd/polish'd head) for the 2.3/2.5 engine that is street legal. Maybe a product that in CNC'd for performance. Maybe reman'd off the old stock even. Stage 1 2 3 kind of thing like they have for the 5.0. If I could add just 20 hp more for a good price and still pass emissions that would be really cool. I would think the market would be huge for such a product. I heard last year (on this board) that Esslinger was working on something. I went to there Web site and there was no mention of it yet.

Has anyone done this, themselfs or taken it to a shop and had it done? I would think people would falling over themselfs for such a product.

Yeah, Yeah I know about the bigger exhaust and all. I would like to start w/ the head, first, thank you. I'm sure my current exhaust could blow more power still!

I've owned a 5.0L before, you can start w/ the head.

I used to run a 74 2300 Pinto. I port'd the head in the garage. Felt a difference. Anyone done this w/ the 2.3/2.5 head?

Anyone know anyone that does it?

Easiest way to improve the dual plug round-port ranger 2.3L head: Take off head, throw in dumpster. Seriously!
These heads are junk, period. You'd be wasting your time........and money.
Easiest best way to improve performance on a 4 banger ranger is to do the 2.3L turbo swap, period.

Esslinger had a aluminum "d" port head that will fit in a stock applications. The head is modeled after the early 80s open chamber "d" port head and I highly doubt that it has a smog number.

If you want more info on hotroding a 2300/2500:

It's a circle track racing board but has lot-o-2300 info, use the search.
