2000 Ranger - Check Engine Light

I was driving my dad's 2000 4.0L Ranger from his place today and I hit 65 in a straight, flat bottom.I was about 5 miles into my drive and then,at that moment, the Check Engine light came on.I instantly looked at my gauges and nothing was abnormal.Luckily,I was on my way to Auto Zone to pick up a filter and some oil to change his engine oil,so while I was there,I got them to pull the codes. The guy told me this...EVAP Emission Control System - Large System Leak.He said that it's possibly a stopped up converter.Evidently,it's something to do with the exhaust system or maybe the oxygen sensor. It's going to the dealer Monday morning for a warranty repair, whatever it is.But,for our sake,I would like to figure out what it is before then.

Thanks ya'll.

Evap Control failure could be something as simple as a loose gas cap. See if it is screwed on tight.
