Hello all,

I enjoyed my first towing day with my F350V10. I'm pulling about 7000 lbs. of race car trailer, Porsche track car, and tools. The Auto Transmission does a great job, no hunting in overdrive as some have complained about.

I'd like to know more about my truck. Does anyone know where can I order the factory service manuals?

If you are looking for something on CD, I have a CD bought off of e-bay that is the Ford factory manual on CD. It provides me with more than enough information and I use it quite a bit here whilst replying to questions. I like it and it was only $20 delivered. I found it listed under Excursion but it covers it, all the F-series up to the F750, Econoline, Expy, Explorer, Ranger, Windsatar, E53 Motorhome and even the Postal Vans. Worth a search on e-bay motors. Try Excursion for a search just cause I know you'll find it that way.

 

I have used the Helm manual for my truck, got it at the library. It probably costs around $160.

There are several manuals to pick. Unless you're deep into the electronics it looks like items 2 and 4 are the items to pick.

This covers all the Ford autos. It is on back-order.

2. 2002 F-Super Duty 250 - 550 (P131) Excursion Workshop manual: FCS1210702 $147

Instructions and procedures for routine repair adjustments mantence work diagnostics testing and remoal/installation of parts for various vehicle systems.

3. 2002 complete ford truck service manual CD-ROM. Covers more than one year and model. FCS1255102T $1450 (ouch!)

4. 2002 F-super duty and excursion workshop manual CD-ROM. Covers more than one year and model. FCS1294702 $170 (much better)

This looks to be the same thing as item two, why would a $0.20 CD-ROM be $23 MORE expensive than paper?
