Hey guys,

I have a 239 flathead in my 53 but he motor if I remember correctly is out of a 50 model truck? I thought the motors from 53 were painted a factory orange and prior were green. A friend of mine is giving me a flathead and trans and the motor is orange and when I tried to check the block number (dark no flashlight) I could only make out an "A" and nothing else. Could this also be a aftermarket block?

Thanks for the information Tim. I'll try to get some numbers off the block this weekend and do a web search.
