Found One, Could Find other
Mike,
I took a look yesterday and found the one on Galapago. It's a 61 F250 with rebuilt 6 cyl. He's asking $3k obo. I didn't find the one on Santa Fe's frontage road.
After looking at quite a few model years, I've narrowed my search down to 65 or 66 2wd F100 or F250.
Thanks for the info, Mike G.

Hey D, now that I know what your after, I'll keep an eye out. The one that was at the frontage road was at the corner of the golf course in that little lot with the vintage stuff. I notice it was gone also. There's a Ford performance place on Federal, I'll drive by and see if they have any for sale, I know they usually have a couple Mustangs available...

Mike-No More Lookie!
Hi Mike,
Just wanted to let you know you don't need to keep your eyes open for a 66 truck for me anymore. I just picked mine up. An 66 F250 Camper Special with 4 speed and "390" (I'll measure the stroke this weekend any bets it's a 352?!) Please do keep an eye out for parts, though. I'll do the same for you.
Drove it home and it'll be some work to get it the way I want it, but man it's a truck from a time when trucks were trucks. I love the smell, the sound....you know what I mean.
I'll be pickin' your brain for ideas and cruisin the junk yards in earnest now. I'll keep checking in on the FE and 61-66 boards here.
One happy Camper Special,
Spudco

Very Cool Man
Where did you pick her up at? You are right, there is nothing like an old truck.
I'm ready to start assembling the engine this week and pull 'Ol Blue in for some work with in the next few. Can't wait! I do need to snap off some "pre" photos for the gang.
Let me know what parts you need, I have to get out to some of the Aurora yards and scrounge around. Colorado Auto has a 65 4x4, but not much there other than the motor and a shell....

WeeHaw!
Mike,
Just took the wife out for her first ride in the new (old) truck. I was ready for the "I don't like it, it stinks like gas in here" or "You bought this?!" etc. Her reaction apprehensive at first, but positive. Then I put my foot down and broke the back end loose. She thought that was "a whole bunch of all right". I can't wait
'til I can take her out in it when it's running on gas, not oil!
Send me a PM when you want some scrounging company.
It's good to have an old truck again.
