states included in chapter

I have a couple of questions. I'm curious about the inclusion of Iowa in the forum heading. They have the Field of Dreams and the Little Brown Church in the Vale, but last time I was thru there I didn't see the high plains. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Also wondering why Canada isn't represented? AB, SK, MB are part of the great plains if I recall my geography correctly.
(edit - never mind, I found the hidden northern chapters)

Oh, one other thing. I see Dennis says we should be nice. Does that mean Montana can't tell North Dakota jokes?

Its not fun when we only have one person to poke fun at.

I am sure that being in good taste they should be just fine.

This is awesome.

I was somewhat curious about the inclusion of Iowa, and thought maybe Dennis made a spelling error. I guess Iowa can hang out here if they like, but I think they belong with Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It depends on how Far u go
The inclusion of the states that are listed was the result of a Weather related description of the area.
EDIT:You will notice when clicking the link below that Montana wasn't included but I needed something to correlate all of them in that area. I figured weather was the best way
If the forum becomes overwhelming with posts mostly from ONE state, that state will probably go seperately.
We are all here to have fun, I don't think that anybody in their right mind would come here to tell a couple off color jokes and get banned. Thats kinda silly.
Its just getting late, going on 12 hours today at FTE.
If you go by the actual climate of those areas, it would stretch into eastern MT, and Canada.
They consider MT to be part of the northwest though. I already tried to get us into that forum.
Historically, my part of the state should have been part of Idaho. From what I've read, the gov't surveyors were supposed to follow the continental divide when they marked out the state line. Somebody screwed up and followed the wrong mountain range and as they say, the rest is history.
We talk about the "east side" as if it were a different state, so if Iowa wants to join in it's fine by me. Just thot the geography was a bit of a stretch.
...and here among these norwegians (who like to tell jokes on themselves) telling montana/north dakota jokes is a state past-time 'cause a lot of them are from ND... and the jokes I've heard are all nice...well mostly....
Probably another indication that MT is so unique it doesn't fit in anywhere - we're just an odd collection of leftovers the other states didn't want.
Well, we have so many people moving here to Montana, I may as well do it now.
I officially welcome and adopt Theo as an honorary Montanan. If you make it up to near Glacier National Park, let me know you are coming. Will give you some ideas on where to visit, sights to see, etc...at least in this part of the state. And if I'm not working, I may be persuaded to buy ya a cup of coffee and shoot some bull. I'd be willing to bet that mtflat would even join us for a cuppa Joe.
Oh much better than Starbucks, we have Mountain Mud, they are a local roaster with the best beans in the state.
If you happen to be in MT, I can arrange to throw a couple good venison steaks on the grill, and serve you a real treat!
I look forward to trying some Mountain Mud and I really look forward to the venison, yummy! I got to try venison sausage for the first time last year and it was really good. I was a little skeptical to try it because all of the females that I talked to said it tastes too gamy. Maybe it does maybe it doesn't but I really like it!
88grandmarquis, I'm from Bismarck same as ever.
slik
P.S. I say Iowa should be with Kansas and Nebraska.
My venison sausage turned out better than ever this year, unfortuneatley, I only got a few pounds of it, but I have a lot of steaks, which are pretty good.
My freezer is full of antelope this year.
I plan to change that next winter though! Gotta at least get some deer, hoping for elk and moose though!
