exhaust manifolds

exhaust manifolds
My '37 has two different type of exhaust manifolds. One side dumps straight down on the front end of the engine. The other side dumps at an angle about a third of the way back. This side is aimed right at frame. The truck came with no other exhaust and I'm wondering what I've got. Ideally a mirror image to the front dump would work good for routing the new exhaust. Any suggestions?

Check out the site below
I'm not up on the early engines, but what you described sounds about right.
There are diagrams of all flatmotors and associated parts

Hi Mark
What you have is the standard setup
The pipe from 1 side comes under the front of the engine then meets the pipe from the other side before exiting via a single pipe
I have the same but my truck is right hand drive so the opposite way around, I got a pair of left hand drive manifolds so will have a matched pair for a twin exhaust system
Maybe you could find a right hand drive manifold
