F250 will not start - been in storage
need advice.
2000 F250 will not start - been in stoage for 3 mo. - ran well prior to being parked.
have done the following ...
New Batts
purged fuel filter bowel
Good fuel.
Fuel Pumps works well
starts when using WD40 as a starting precurser but then engine dies.
No smoke - seems just not gettting fuel.
checked fuel shut off.
Checked all fuses.
All wiring okay.
Any other things to check ?
Know any Ford mechanics in Phoenix area I can call on and trust ???
thanks inadvance
Phil

First off.. you might want to try the superduty forum.
I Can help though. Is this truck a Diesel or gas?
Your problem is definelty fuel starvation. That is obvious due to the fact that it starts by spraying a fuel source into the intake.
Since you said this truck sat for 3 months I suppose there is rust in the fuel system.
You should replace the fuel filter. Then drain out ALL of the old gas, this includes running the fuel pump to drain all the fuel lines.
THen I would pull all the Fuel injectors and clean them up with CLR if they have any rust on them.
Also you should pull the spark plugs and check if there is any moisture on them. If there is it is time for new spark plugs.
If your truck is a Diesel let me know. I have more stuff to say.
By the way, what did you do to the truck BEFORE you stored it?
