I'm looking to buy a rust free bed (dual tank) for my 1989 F-150. How much should I expect to pay? I've located a bed from a 1995 that has no rust. They are selling it for $1,350 including a new tailgate. There truly is no rust on this bed (inside or out). Is this a deal or a dud? Thanks!
I dont know where you live, but if you can get to Oklahoma or somewhere in the south, you can pick up a bed on up to 97 truck with a tailgate for around 1000. No rust. You could probably find one cheaper than that. I had a friend who had to replace the bed on his 92 after he got hit. He found one off of a 97 F-250hd w/tailgate for 900. That was a good deal.
Where did you find the bed? I have an 1989 F150 with 100k miles. Bed has rust around wheel wells and left panel behind left tire. I want to restore the truck and have been told it would be cheaper to find a rust free bed somewhere. Appreciate any help.

Check your local Craigslist or car-part.com. Expect to pay $500 or so for a bed that needs minor work, and $800-1000 for a near perfect bed.
Damn,,, Talk about an old thread brought back to life!!!!! This one lacks one month being 9 years old!!! I wonder if that is a record..... If not, I'll bet it's very close!!!!!
