Question glow plugs

Anyone ever drop a glow plug down a pushrod cavity? And, if I end up not fishing it out soon, will it do any harm leaving it there as long as it is not interfering with lifter and pushrod action? I seem to think that is the valley between the two cylinder banks. I sure don't want to pull the head if I don't have to. I've used two different magnets (the glow plug is not magnetic at the tip but is at the rest of the body, so it will turn sideways if the magnet grabs it. My next plan of attack to remove the hood (it is the last cylinder next to the firewall on the driver's side). Any ideas?

I wouldn't leave anything in a motor that is NOT suppossed to be there. Try one of those flexible grabber things there about 3 ft long and have little fingers on one end that are opened on the other end with a button. If all else fails tear it down it would be cheaper than tearin it down to clean out all the pieces of the glow plug.
