Any off roading trails in NE OH?
Hello All,
I'm the owner of a 2000 Explorer sport, and want to do a little lite 4x4'ing. Anyone know of any trails for this sort of thing in northeast OH? Anyone else from uo around here (I live in C******, about 30 miles east of cleveland)
Thanks in advance,
Mike

There Wellsville ohio. ITs about 1-1.5 hours away from you. We area actually going next weekend for a big trail ride. I dont think you would want to take a stock rig back there though. I have a jeep locked front and rear on 38's and there are still times you have to pull the winch. I know theres ways around the hard stuff but you have to go in someway that I have never been so I coulndn't be to much help here.

Well, I do know there is a trail to bum on (at least so I'm told) in the northeast, around the sandusky/norwalk/milan area.
IIf I find out more about that, I'll let you know. I was kinda hoping for something a little closer
Also doesn't hurt to get the forum looked at again
Thanks!

I know the place but have never been there it is near Norwalk Raceway Park. The last I knew it was called Firelands Fourwheelers and I think they have mud runs there quite often. It's about 30-40 min away for my house.

I just went out to wellsville last sunday. It was my second trip there and the place is awesome. People like to let me lead cause they mostly run jeeps and my fullsize f250 opens the trail for them. I don't recall seeing any place there to wheel a sport trak unless it is highly modifed. Around my house (lorain) we go across the street from the ford plant on baumhart road. Been going there for about 3 years and have never heard of anyone getting busted.
Used to go to the dump on 611 but they are cracking down. The police actually got a lifted f350 SD with a winch and will go back in the woods and bust you. Went down to a place in Amish country by Lake Buckhorn and had a good time. Wellsville is the best place I've been though. Just takes 2-1/2 hours in a 9" lifted rig with bias-ply tires. Wish it were closer.
