100,000 mile service

I have a 2000 Expedition 5.4 4x4 with 100,000 miles on her. Is there anything in particular that you would service at this point? Oil is changed every 5000 and trans oil every 45,000. Thanks for the help.

100,000 mile service

Spark plug replacement is one service recommended at 100K. A time-consuming process. Expect a $300 bill from a dealership. One plug is notoriously difficult to remove (#4, the rearmost plug on the passenger side). Ask for the old parts back and make certain you receive eight of the same plugs. Sometimes the techs "forget" to remove ol #4.

As an aside, you should be changing the transmission and transfer case fluid every 30K. Have the differential fluids ever been replaced? Brake fluid flushed?

Essentially, 100K is a good time to renew ALL fluids in the vehicle if they haven't been replaced/flushed on a regular basis.

How bout the regular tires? Alignment? Wipers? Prety much look at everything, and replace everything that you think needs to be done, or everything that's within your budget. Definately get all the lubes and oils though.
