Hey, at what mileage intervals do i need the automatic transmission fluid changed??

my salesman said it doesn't have to be changed until over 100,000 miles, that's why it's sealed and doesn't have a tranmission dipstick........ although, one of the techs said to have it changed at 30k...... does anyone know for certain how often the transmission fluid have to be changed??

I have always changed mine around 30 to 35K miles. I have heard of people running them much longer, but I personally would not do it. For my tranny, the change by a dealership runs $130 - I don't know what yours would be.

 

The manual says 100,000 for normal driving and 30,000 for "severe" driving.

I would still have it flushed at 30,000.

 

I would change it around 30,000 to 35,000. Wont hurt, cheeper to change fliud than trans.
