Where'd everyone go ????
Usually I work on my vehicles myself. My ol mans f150 though, and those rusty brake lines. Back one blew, his mechanic replaced the lines and wheel cylinders, 420 bucks. Front line blew a month later, lines, calipers cause bleeders were stuck, new brakes, rotors, 700 plus tax. Feel like I'm getting ripped off here and need an honest mechanic.

you just got to know how long the lines are.(very importaint) bend them softly. and make sure they don't leak. and bleed them!! Taking off the old lines is harder then putting them on! save your money! cause those auto places see you and think "i can screw him quick" Not getting cocky just the truth!

Yeah way too much money. I looked at the bill last night. He charged me 83 bucks a piece for new rotors. I looked up the exact same part number at a local parts store, 42 bucks each. Loaded calipers, 75 each, actual cost is 23. Yeah he screwed me on parts doubling the prices but I guess that's how they make thier money. What I'm going to do is start investing in some specialty tools that I don't have, brake line flare tool, mightyvac bleeder, stuff I don't need every day but when the time comes I have the stuff.
