AC pump stops cycling after 15 mins of use

Ok this is actually on my girls car, a 2000 altima. But i know all newer AC systems work the same. Cus its the same set up as my 98 f150. But the AC will work great for the first 15 mins or so then i notice the pump stops working(not cycling on/off) So i turn it off for 5 mins and then it starts working again and i hear the pump engaging, but itll only work for like 5 mins now. Could it be a bad pressure cycling switch or clogged condenser and gettn the AC too hot and it shuts down. Any ideas ?

I would guess you are a little low on gas. Hi and Lo side staballize at about 100 psi when off. When you startup, the Lo drops to about 30 psi and HI goes up to about 200 psi. There is a low pressure cutout that kicks the pumps off if it falls below about 20 psi. If you had gauges on the system, I think you would see that.

A/C stops

yes, get or borrow a set of gauges. So you can tell when the compressor cuts out. At Low or High pressures.
If you verify it is a low charge, it went somewhere(leak).
