Great running 6.9L IDI diesel truck. The 1987 was the best of the IDI because it got the upgraded glow plug wiring system and the 6.9 block. Because it is the 6.9 there is no cavitation worries. I bought this trick out of California so it has hardly any rust.

Bad: the engine leaks a little oil. the fuel pick up like in the back fuel tank has a hole in it so air gets in the fuel lines. Paint is flaking off. The instrument cluster stopped working last month so the odometer only reads 170600.

Good: Power windows and locks work. I have done maintenence on it and it has a fresh oil change and fuel filter.I have no problems with cold starts and never plugged it in so no block heater/block cracking to worry about. Interior is in great shape except for a tear in drivers side seat. C6 tranny is bullet proof and was recently serviced. Body is in good shape for year worth only a few dings. It's a IDI diesel so it will run forever.
