Looking at a 2011 6.2

Hi Guys
So im going tomorrow to look at a 2011 250 CC 4x4 xlt it has all the bells of the Lariat without leather. Its got around 77000 miles on it and im going to trade my 08 6.4 is there anything about that year truck I should be aware of? Anything I should look for the price seems right and for a little cash i can almost swap truck for truck. Any advise would be great! Thanks.

I haven't heard of any problems with the 6.2, the 6 speed had a few when it first came out but nothing major as far as I know. Check it out real good with a long test drive and see what you think.

So ok I checked out the truck man has lots of bells and whistles that I didn't even get to try out yet. it had three dents two on the hood one on the side one broke paint I told them that has to be fixed. We test drove it and the hood didn't shut all the way so out on the big Rd the hood was floating, around 70 mph it started making a wind noise like a mad hornets nest by the windshield we stoped closed the hood and it still made the wind noise. We got back to dealer and noticed the hood was crooked might be the sound we heard! So the kept it and a deposit one thing I noticed was the rad bottle under the hood looked empty is that normal? Other then all that she is a beautiful truck

If they can't get the hood to close right it would be time for a new hood, the rad bottle should show fluid. I would have them add fluid and note it on the sales contract that they will be responsible for any repair if it continues to lose it. I'm thinking it's not a problem just a little evaporation.

I would at least try a carfax and/or get it looked at by a mechanic. It sounds like poor repairs from an accident to me.

It had something called an auto check done it showed all the oil changes when and where it was registered it was a fleet vehicle but so was mine inside is perfect not a stain or scratch mine isn't that great lol there is no warranty with it I drive home it breaks in half I get to keep both pieces lol. They are giving me over what my truck books for I was all set to haggle but they gave me a great price so it kind of took the wind out of my sails they weren't willing to fix all the dents just the one that the paint failed and fix the hood swap my tires which are three weeks old now and make sure the noise is fixed. Other then that it's all mine I know I can get the other two fixed and I might not even do them but knowing me I will
