2008 F150, 60,000 4x4 auto SC

Friend reports that when the truck is hot, and when he is in full lock turning left, he is getting a rattle, clicking type sound. Mainly while backing up. Doesn't do it to the right. And, again only after the truck has warmed up.

If he stops and puts it in neutral, and revs the motor, then goes back into reverse it will go away. (How he came up with that, is someone suggested maybe a vacuum issue)

Has taken it to a couple shops and they can't figure it out.

Anyone have the same issue on this forum?

It's driving him crazy.

 

You need to have him to drive a round a person on the ground so that
they can hear it and help locate it. They may also see something
that he can't see from the cab.

Yeah,Sean, I waited for him at work, but he hit a construction zone and came too late for me to lay out there.

Might not get a chance to do that until next week sometime.

Wow I did not even see where "hear" was till I just looked not.
BTW You don't need to get a "No Contact Order" I am not stalking.
At least I hope I am not.
